Birthday Week Fun

I am not usually one for a life post, but I haven't had chance to write a fashion or beauty post this week and thought this would be fun to mix things up a bit.

Last Friday my best friends Eleanor, Leah and Amy surprised me with a trip to the theatre to see legally blonde the musical which was mega fabulous.

Can we just talk about how pretty the ceiling in the theatre is? I have to admit I love a good fancy ceiling

The following Friday was my birthday which was also great, I started the day off with a Harvester breakfast with my friend Shanai whose birthday it also was- look at that mushroomy goodness I was loving life.

My friend  Harriet bought Shanai and I chocolate cupcakes for our birthday, can you think of a better gift than a chocolate cupcake because I certainly cannot! It also made spending my birthday at sixth form studying Chaucer slightly more bearable,

On the night of my 18th birthday I relived my early childhood by going to see S Club 7 live. Which is probably extremely lame, but was actually thoroughly enjoyable if I am honest.

On Saturday the day after my birthday a group of friends and I decided to go to Turtle Bay which was perhaps the best decision I have had a in a long time. I had the yummiest jerk chicken wrap with sweet potato fries and I have to admit I am a sweet potato snob and they lived up to my high sweet potato standards.

Whilst in Turtle Bay I also had my first legal alcoholic beverage or if by any chance my Mum is reading this I mean my first ever drop of alcohol ever, not only did I feel like an absolute boss and mature adult when ordering it and using my I.D. to prove my new found adult status, but cocktails are always 2 for 1 at Turtle Bay during happy hour- so not only was it rather delicious, but it was also a bargain!

I had great food and drinks and even greater company with my three fab friends! Although I look like a chipmunk in this picture, I decided to include it as Natarika, Harriet and Shanai look good and I was too content with the chicken I had just consumed to complain I was in some extreme level of food baby coma

All in all I have had a great week and the thought of going back to non-stop revision mode is beyond upsetting. How have your weeks been let me know in the comments!

Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick Velvet Underground

So its official I have the greatest best friend in the whole entire world who gifted me this magical wonderful fabulous lipstick for my 18th birthday which is next weekend. Despite only owning it three days I am already obsessed as my amazing best friend picked the most me shade ever Velvet Underground the most gorgeous pink.

The stunning rose gold packaging GIVES ME LIFE. When I am not wearing the lipstick I just like to stare at it

The colour pay off of this is absolutely unreal, if you're absolutely deluded and have ever tried to deny the fact Charlotte Tilbury is a living legend I am sure such pigmentation can change your mind.

The formula of this lipstick is also an absolute dream, it just glides on so beautifully and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Its creamy and extremely hydrating for a non-matte lipstick I find it lasts a long time before needed to reapply unless eating or drinking obviously. I have also found this lipstick doesn't end up all over my teeth which is an rarity for me  to me HALLELUJAH the lipstick fairies have answered all my hopes and dreams, no more hopelessy checking my mouth out in the front camera on my phone failing to be secretive and having a mouth full of bright pink teeth (we've all been there, right?)

This is without a doubt my favourite lipstick I have ever tried and I plan to treat myself to one of her other products as a birthday present from me to me!

The Wind Ruined My OOTD

I have recently been avoiding the fashion posts as I  feel I am not cool enough for this fashion blogging world, but I thought I would share my ever so basic yet comfy OOTD with you, please excuse my awfully pale legs. Yes I am aware its spring, but I live in England so its winter all year round hence the coat in May.

Looking ever so slightly wind swept?

For the longest time I have been looking for a khaki trench coat, yet every time I have fallen in love with one my heart has been broken when my size is sold out. On the day I purchased this one I was planning to buy one I had spotted in Topshop the day before, but shock horror as always my size was sold out. The answer to my dreams was answered when I spotted this beauty in Primark for a fraction of the price in a cut and shape I much preferred.

Coat- Primark
Boots- New Look
Dress- New Look

I will be posting some other better shot less windy outfit posts very soon so please excuse this shoddy one. I just wanted to share the coat with you all if I am honest.

Rimmel London Sunshimmer Instant Tan Mousse

There was recently a short period of good weather in the UK, which means the summer has probably been and gone, but fear not you can still get that summer glow in a bottle. In this post I will be sharing my favourite self tanner. I rely on this tan when I want to get the balance between ghost and extra on The Only Way Is Essex.

As an extremely pale being I have tried various self tanners and have many erm how should I say interesting experiences from smelling like mouldy biscuits from the awful smell some self tanners have to resembling a carrot. But fear not, this tan is an exception and is also only £7.99 HALLELUJAH FOR A BARGAIN!!!

I buy the darkest shade, not only because I need all the help I can get in the tan department, but I find the darkest shade looks more natural and less orange than the lighter shades, as I don;t know about you, but David Dickinson and Dale Winton are not my tan inspirations.

The tan says it develops in 1 hour, I agree it is pretty fast developing, but I recommend leaving it on over night and then showering off in the morning for the best results. It dries extremely fast and I have never had any issues of it leaving marks on my clothes or sheets like some other tans have which is always a positive.

I agree that the tan leaves a streak free finish, although always take extra precautions on dry areas like elbows and knees as with any tan. When it comes to removal, this tan actually fades really well and naturally, but a good scrub of exfoliator easily removes any left over tan.

I pick this tan up from Boot's gotta cash in on them advantage card points eh?
Have you tried this tan? If so what are your thoughts or do you have any other favourite tans I would love to know what they are.
